2. General Principles

We process personal data only where necessary to operate this website, provide the radio stream, measure consented website usage, receive music submissions, communicate with users, protect the website and comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases may include Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent), Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual communication), Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR (legal obligations) and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests such as secure operation and editorial review).

Where personal data is collected directly from you, this policy provides the information required by Art. 13 GDPR, including purposes, legal bases, recipient categories, transfers, retention and data subject rights.

3. Hosting and Server Log Files

This website is hosted through Hostinger and runs on WordPress. When you visit the website, server log files may be processed automatically. These may include IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, referrer, browser type, operating system and technical status codes. This is used for technical delivery, stability, troubleshooting and security.

Server log processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is secure, stable and abuse-resistant operation of the website.

4. Cookies, Consent and Local Storage

Under Section 25 TDDDG, storing information on your device or accessing information already stored on your device generally requires consent, unless the access is strictly necessary to provide a digital service expressly requested by you or to transmit a communication.

The website may use technically necessary cookies or similar technologies for WordPress functionality, security, form submission, consent management and embedded services. Non-essential analytics or marketing-related technologies are intended to run only where a valid consent is present, where such consent is legally required. You can withdraw consent with effect for the future through the consent options provided on the website, where available.

5. Google Analytics

We use, or technically prepare the website to use, Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website and to improve content, navigation, performance and radio-related features. Provider in the EEA is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Depending on configuration and consent status, Google Analytics may process usage data such as page views, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, referrer URLs and technical identifiers.

Google Analytics is used on the basis of consent where required (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw or change consent at any time through the consent options provided on the website, if available.

According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. For EU traffic, IP address data is used for deriving approximate location information and then discarded before logging. Google may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA. Transfers may rely on adequacy decisions such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards provided by Google. Google Analytics data retention is controlled through the Google Analytics property settings. Details about the currently configured retention period can be requested from us.

6. Web Radio Stream and Audio Services

Kefalonication Radio streams audio through laut.fm. When you start the stream or open laut.fm-related links, technical data such as IP address, device information and usage data may be processed by laut.fm to deliver the audio stream.

The website may also link to or embed radio and music services such as TuneIn, Apple Music and Spotify. If embedded players are loaded or if you click external links, the respective providers may process personal data under their own responsibility.

7. Stream Distribution and External Radio Directories

The website lists stream distribution channels and radio directories, including laut.fm, TuneIn, radio.de, phonostar, myTuner Radio, OnlineRadioBox, Alexa/Amazon Echo, Sonos, Yamaha MusicCast, Denon HEOS, Bose Music Systems, smart TVs, smart radios, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay through supported apps and other radio aggregators. These entries are primarily informational or external links. If you use these services, their own privacy policies and terms apply.

8. Social Media Links: Instagram and Facebook

The website may link to Kefalonication Radio profiles on Instagram and Facebook. These services are provided by Meta Platforms. If you click a social media link or interact with our profiles on these platforms, Meta may process personal data under its own responsibility.

A live social feed from Instagram or Facebook is currently intended to remain disabled until the official tokens and privacy setup are complete.

9. Submit Your Track / Promo Submissions

Artists, labels or authorised representatives can submit promo details through the “Submit Your Track” form before uploading audio files. The form collects data such as artist/project name, contact person, email address, label/company, country, track title, genre/style, release status, ISRC where provided, collecting society information where provided, message text, rights confirmations, timestamp, technical browser information and a hashed IP value for documentation and abuse prevention.

The data is used to review music submissions, document rights confirmations, communicate with submitters, make editorial decisions and keep an internal audit trail. The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for submission-related communication, Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for editorial review and documentation, and Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR where a consent checkbox is used for processing.

Submission of a track does not guarantee airplay, feedback, playlisting or promotion. By submitting, the sender confirms that they own or control the master recording or are authorised to submit it, that they have the necessary composition/songwriting permissions, that the track contains no uncleared samples or third-party material that would prevent radio or online airplay, and that Kefalonication Radio may review and store the submission for editorial purposes. Ownership remains with the rights holders; statutory collecting society claims remain unaffected where applicable.

10. Dropbox Uploads for Promo Songs

After the promo form has been submitted successfully, the website opens a Dropbox upload option. Audio files are uploaded directly to Dropbox. A PDF receipt or confirmation record of the submission may be generated and stored internally and, where configured, uploaded to Dropbox for documentation.

Please upload only files that you are authorised to provide. Do not upload special categories of personal data or unnecessary personal information in audio metadata or filenames.

11. E-Mail Communication

If you contact us by email or through a form, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your request, review submissions or handle communication. E-mails and related records may be retained as long as necessary for the purpose of communication, legal documentation and legitimate operational needs.

12. Retention

Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for technical and security purposes unless a longer period is required due to incidents. Promo submission data and related rights confirmations may be retained for the editorial review period and, where needed for documentation of permissions or dispute prevention, generally up to the end of the regular limitation period unless a longer period is legally required or necessary for a specific case. If a submission is no longer needed, it will be deleted or restricted where legally and technically possible.

13. Recipients and Third-Country Transfers

Data may be processed by hosting providers, analytics providers, streaming providers, Dropbox, email providers, WordPress plugins and other technical service providers. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, transfers are based on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards provided by the respective providers.

Recipient categories may include hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, streaming platforms, music/radio platforms, Dropbox, email providers, WordPress plugins, IT maintenance providers and public authorities where legally required.

14. Your Rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

This website contains links to external websites and services. We have no control over the content and data processing of external providers. Their own privacy policies and terms apply.

17. Kefalonication Radio iOS App

This Privacy Policy also covers the Kefalonication Radio app for iPhone and iPad. The controller and contact details in section 1 and your rights in section 14 apply equally to app usage.

Live stream and programme information. The app connects directly to laut.fm to play the station kefalonicationradio and retrieve the current song, recently broadcast songs and schedule. Requests transmit your IP address and technical connection information to laut.fm, including request time, requested resource and, where sent, app/device or operating-system information. The stream identifies the client as KefalonicationRadio/1.0 iOS. These connections are necessary for delivering audio and programme information and may also be processed by the provider for operation, security and usage statistics. The purpose of our processing is to provide a stable radio service; our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR is its functional and secure operation. laut.fm explains its own processing, retention and any transfers in its privacy notice. We do not control its log retention.

Accounts, tracking and permissions. The native app does not require registration or a user account and does not include our own analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking SDK. Google Analytics described above concerns the website, not native app playback. The app does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts or precise location. This does not prevent the streaming provider from processing the technical data described above or delivering content within its stream.

Playback and device storage. iOS temporarily buffers audio and may cache network responses to support playback. The app does not provide permanent song downloads or recording. Background playback can keep the streaming connection active while the screen is locked or another app is open. Song and artist information is passed to the iOS Now Playing interface for lock-screen controls; if you select AirPlay, playback is routed through the device you choose. Recently Played displays the station’s broadcast history, not a personal listening profile stored by us.

External links and Apple services. Opening website, support, music-service or social-media links takes you to the respective website or app. The website provisions above then apply to our pages; external providers process data under their own policies. App Store distribution and any diagnostics shared with Apple are subject to your Apple settings and the Apple Privacy Policy.

Support, retention and your choices. If you voluntarily contact us or use our support form, we process the contact details, message and device/app information you provide to answer the request and resolve problems (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR where related to providing the service, otherwise Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for support and service improvement). Support-form records are kept in a private WordPress inbox for up to 180 days; notification emails are retained only as necessary as described in section 11. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. We do not maintain an app account database or an individual listening-history database. Temporary playback data is managed by iOS; provider log retention follows the provider’s notice. You can stop playback, close the app and remove it from your device. For access, deletion or other privacy requests concerning data held by us, contact radio@kefalonication.gr.

17. Εφαρμογή Kefalonication Radio για iOS

Η παρούσα Πολιτική Απορρήτου καλύπτει επίσης την εφαρμογή Kefalonication Radio για iPhone και iPad. Ο υπεύθυνος επεξεργασίας και τα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας της ενότητας 1, καθώς και τα δικαιώματά σας στην ενότητα 14, ισχύουν και για τη χρήση της εφαρμογής.

Ζωντανή μετάδοση και πληροφορίες προγράμματος. Η εφαρμογή συνδέεται απευθείας στο laut.fm για την αναπαραγωγή του σταθμού kefalonicationradio και την ανάκτηση του τρέχοντος τραγουδιού, των τραγουδιών που μεταδόθηκαν πρόσφατα και του προγράμματος. Λογαριασμοί, παρακολούθηση και δικαιώματα πρόσβασης. Η εφαρμογή δεν απαιτεί εγγραφή ή λογαριασμό χρήστη και δεν ενσωματώνει δικό μας SDK ανάλυσης, διαφήμισης ή παρακολούθησης μεταξύ εφαρμογών. Το Google Analytics που περιγράφεται παραπάνω αφορά τον ιστότοπο και όχι την αναπαραγωγή στη native εφαρμογή. Η εφαρμογή δεν ζητά πρόσβαση στο μικρόφωνο, την κάμερα, τις επαφές ή την ακριβή τοποθεσία σας. Αυτό δεν αποκλείει την επεξεργασία των παραπάνω τεχνικών δεδομένων από τον πάροχο μετάδοσης ή την παροχή περιεχομένου μέσα στη μετάδοσή του.

Αναπαραγωγή και αποθήκευση στη συσκευή. Το iOS αποθηκεύει προσωρινά δεδομένα ήχου και ενδέχεται να χρησιμοποιεί προσωρινή μνήμη για αποκρίσεις δικτύου ώστε να υποστηρίζει την αναπαραγωγή. Η εφαρμογή δεν παρέχει μόνιμη λήψη τραγουδιών ή ηχογράφηση. Η αναπαραγωγή στο παρασκήνιο μπορεί να διατηρεί ενεργή τη σύνδεση μετάδοσης όταν η οθόνη είναι κλειδωμένη ή χρησιμοποιείται άλλη εφαρμογή. Ο τίτλος και ο καλλιτέχνης διαβιβάζονται στη λειτουργία Now Playing του iOS για τα χειριστήρια της οθόνης κλειδώματος. Αν επιλέξετε AirPlay, η αναπαραγωγή δρομολογείται στη συσκευή που επιλέγετε. Η λίστα πρόσφατων τραγουδιών εμφανίζει το ιστορικό μεταδόσεων του σταθμού και όχι προσωπικό ιστορικό ακρόασης που αποθηκεύουμε εμείς.

Εξωτερικοί σύνδεσμοι και υπηρεσίες Apple. Οι σύνδεσμοι προς ιστότοπους, υποστήριξη, μουσικές υπηρεσίες ή κοινωνικά δίκτυα ανοίγουν τον αντίστοιχο ιστότοπο ή εφαρμογή. Για τις δικές μας σελίδες ισχύουν οι παραπάνω διατάξεις για τον ιστότοπο· οι εξωτερικοί πάροχοι επεξεργάζονται δεδομένα βάσει των δικών τους πολιτικών. Η διανομή μέσω App Store και τυχόν διαγνωστικά δεδομένα που κοινοποιούνται στην Apple διέπονται από τις ρυθμίσεις Apple σας και την Πολιτική Απορρήτου της Apple.

Υποστήριξη, διατήρηση και επιλογές σας. Αν επικοινωνήσετε οικειοθελώς μαζί μας ή χρησιμοποιήσετε τη φόρμα υποστήριξης, επεξεργαζόμαστε τα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας, το μήνυμα και τις πληροφορίες συσκευής ή εφαρμογής που παρέχετε για να απαντήσουμε και να επιλύσουμε προβλήματα (άρθρο 6 παρ. 1 στοιχ. β ΓΚΠΔ όταν αφορά την παροχή της υπηρεσίας, διαφορετικά άρθρο 6 παρ. 1 στοιχ. στ ΓΚΠΔ για υποστήριξη και βελτίωση της υπηρεσίας).
